Smoothie Delight

Last term a student decided that he would like to do an inquiry into making some healthy smoothies to share with the class. He used a tally chart to find out which flavour was most popular with the children. He researched possible recipes of that flavour and after shopping for ingredients tried a taste test at home. He needed to keep in mind food intolerances and allergies and came up with a winning recipe. After making the smoothie at home he brought it in and served it up with delicious coconut sprinkles and a scoop of chocolate coconut ice cream. The children all loved the delicious and healthy treat!

Here are some pictures of parts of the process:

I heard the crowd cheering loud it became louder and louder. I smelled the victory it was so exciting. My arms started to ack but I didint stop paddling the oars on my boat. Music

The Year 5 & 6 students composed a couple of pieces in music.

The first one is an Ostinanato Piece. (Click on the link to hear the piece.)
The second one is a composition the students did to cheer me up when I was home, sick.

Enjoy!
