Year 3 - 6 Swimming Carnival

This year we are running a combination of fun activities and events in and out of the pool and some traditional races. While the Year 5 & 6s are swimming the Year 3 & 4s are doing fun events. After morning tea the Year 3 & 4s are swimming and the Year 5 & 6s are doing fun events.

The inter-school swimming team will have already been chosen so this is a fun event to celebrate how lucky we are to have a school pool.

The children will need to bring:

·      two towels

·      swimming togs

·      caps

·      goggles (optional)

·      whanau coloured shirts (or their school sports shirt or a white shirt if they do not have the right colour)

·      something warm to put over their togs between races

·      a water bottle

·      sunblock

We also need parent volunteers to help run events, 14 in the first session and the same in the second session. Your support is essential and much appreciated. We will be unable to run the fun events unless we have your help. If you can help out please let Tez or Dawn know which session you would prefer.

We would appreciate it if you could help at both sessions.

I would prefer to help from 9.30 - 11.00 with:

 - Year 5 & 6 race placings (8 helpers needed)

- Year 3 & 4 fun activities (6 helpers needed)
